What the result is
Silver, Contemporary category. The Gin Masters is judged blind by panels of buyers, bartenders and writers, tasting in flights. Saxzi One was assessed in the Contemporary flight, set against the gins it is most like.
We are not going to tell you what the judges tasted. They do that, and the part worth repeating is that they did it without knowing whose bottle it was.
What is in the glass
Saxzi One is a Mediterranean dry gin at 41%, distilled to London Dry standards with a single-shot method, which means every botanical runs in one pass rather than being made as a concentrate and cut back afterwards. Salt sits under it. It is clean, bright and savoury, and it was built to be mixed.
The other one
Saxzi Sun is the warmer bottle at 43%, and it has its own awards to talk about.
