- 10 ml maraschino liqueur
- 5 ml crème de violette
- Brandied cherry, to garnish

How to
Pour your Aviation
- Add Saxzi One gin, lemon juice, maraschino and crème de violette to a shaker with ice.
- Shake hard for about 10 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with a brandied cherry on a pick.
Origin
The story
The Aviation was first published in 1916 by Hugo Ensslin in New York. The crème de violette gives it a pale lavender hue and a floral lift. Lost for decades when violette became unavailable in the US, revived in the 2000s. We pour Saxzi One gin.
