  • 5 ml mastiha liqueur
  • 15 ml simple syrup
  • 15 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 1 orange peel (in the shaker)
  • 50 to 60 ml chilled soda water, to top
  • Orange peel, to garnish

How to

Pour your Saxzi Collins

  1. Add Saxzi One gin, mastiha, simple syrup, lemon juice and an orange peel to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake hard for about 8 seconds.
  3. Strain over fresh ice into a Collins glass.
  4. Top with 50 to 60 ml of chilled soda water.
  5. Garnish with a fresh orange peel, expressing the oils over the surface first.

A touch of mastiha from Chios, the resin Greeks have flavoured aperitifs with for centuries. The orange peel is a small deviation from the canonical recipe that reads Mediterranean.
